Omelettes and quiches occupy a cherished position in French cuisine, providing a delightful and satisfying way to commence your day.
These dishes offer an excellent opportunity to incorporate protein and fiber into your breakfast, along with servings of vegetables. Traditionally, we often start our mornings with carbohydrate-rich foods, such as potatoes, crackers, bread, buñuelos, and fritters—a tempting array of options prevalent in Colombian cuisine.
I also recommend considering omelettes and quiches as a light yet flavorful dinner option. When paired with a bowl of soup or a fresh salad, they create a well-rounded meal.
The following recipes are straightforward to prepare, utilizing readily available ingredients. For those with busy mornings, consider pre-cutting your vegetables to facilitate quick preparation.
With practice, you will find yourself becoming more creative, incorporating a variety of vegetables into your omelettes, such as eggplant, zucchini, asparagus, mushrooms, salmon, turkey, and more.
QUICHE:
A Quiche is a type of savory pie encased in a flour crust. These delightful dishes can be filled with a variety of ingredients, such as spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, or any vegetables you wish to try. Essential components include eggs, often accompanied by milk and cheese.
Additionally, quiches can be made without the traditional flour crust while still retaining their delicious flavor. On my low-carb days, I typically opt for a cauliflower crust—check out this recipe in the list.
I hope these suggestions inspire you to create your own unique versions. If your creations turn out wonderfully, please share them with the rest of us! I'll gladly feature your name here along with your dish. Enjoy and happy cooking!
